Duct Testing

We have equipment to accurately measure how much air is leaking from your heating and air conditioning ducting. Did you know that the previous California Building codes allowed for your ducting to leak up to 30%? For a simple comparison, would you tolerate going to your ATM to withdraw $100 and only receive $70? If your house is more than 3 years old, your ducting probably leaks at least this much.

The duct system testing connects the Duct Blaster test equpiment into the air return grill for the heating/air conditioning system. We then pressurize the ducting to 25 Pascal's to determine the percentage of air leaking from the ducts. Current California Building Codes allow for 15% leakage after alteration work and 6% during replacement of entire systems. We can also inject theatrical quality smoke into the ducting to assist HVAC contractors find and repair leaks.
