What to expect with your ‘whole house’ inspection.

The first step is an occupant interview to find out what your needs and concerns are. For example, is it high energy bills or comfort? We have had customers with low energy bills, but this was due to their reluctance to turn on the heat and instead dressing as if they were at a hockey game. At this point we also analyze the previous 12 months’ utility bills in order to pinpoint energy usage.

We will explain the tests that we will be performing and the time required to complete these tests. We will also be asking questions such as the number of occupants in the house, your living habits such as ‘do you leave your front door open’, or ‘are there any thermostat wars’, etc.

We will show you an example of what your final report will look like. This will show the energy deficiencies in your house and give you a scope of work to remedy the deficiencies.
